Ready…Set…Go!
As most of you may know, my wife Stacy and I resigned our position at the beginning of July at our church in search of what God had planned for our lives and ministry. We faced many questions from friends and family about where we were heading and what lay in store for us in the near future. We didn’t have a lot of answers, mainly one; trusting God and expecting Him to open doors for us to continue working in His kingdom.
We had some really exciting opportunities placed in front of us, all of which were amazing and humbling. But I am happy to share where God has us heading and in the future some of the vision and dreams that He has laid on my heart for this church and community.
Stacy and I are excited to announce that we will be partnering with Pastor Toby Tidswell at Dundee Assembly of God as Student Ministries Pastors. I am stoked about this ministry opportunity and am looking forward with expectation to what God has for the students of Dundee and Monroe County as well as the rest of the community!
We will be relocating to Monroe which places us close to Dundee and within an easy driving distance for Stacy to get to work. We will be starting mid-August and still covet your prayers as we transition and I begin looking for a part-time job as well. Thank you all for your prayers, support and positivity! Needless to say if you want to know more or have questions call me, tweet me, Facebook me, or whatever! I would love to share more of what God has spoken to my heart and what lies ahead for the Goedert’s!
Saying Goodbye
We will miss all of you, and have made many great memories here. Below is a copy of my resignation letter. I love you all and look forward to hearing of all the amazing things God has for Crosspoint Church!
Paul
Brothers and Sisters,
Over the past three years, Stacy and I have been privileged to serve this congregation. We have appreciated your prayers for us and generosity to us through actions both large and small. Mostly, we have appreciated your faithfulness to God and His church.
I am writing to inform you that as of July 1, 2012, I will be stepping down from my post as Intern to the Lead Pastor of Crosspoint Community Church. I assure you that this was not an easy decision, but it is time for us to move on to the next steps in God’s plan for our lives.
This was a difficult choice for me to make, as you have all become like family. It was with much prayer and many tears that we have come to this decision. This congregation has been so wonderful to us, and all of you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
I know that my resignation catches many of you by surprise. I hope you understand that this decision did not come lightly, precipitously, or without seeking God’s guidance. It has been a privilege to have worked alongside you for these past three years.
We would appreciate your prayers as we take this next step on our spiritual journey. And may God continue to pour out His spirit and blessing on all of you.
Love in Christ,
Paul and Stacy Goedert
