John 15:4

New American Standard Bible (NASB)
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.

What an amazing concept. The more time we spend with God the more He is evident in our lives. The more often we are with Him the stronger His presence reflects on us. We must do whatever it takes to make the time and room in our daily schedules to grow nearer to God. But making an appointment to spend some time with Him is not enough.  John 15:4 says “Abide in me, and I in you.” According to dictionary.comabides means to remain, to dwell, and to continue. But there’s more. It also means to pay the price, and to suffer for. That demands sacrifice on our part. What is it in your life that needs sacrificing? Television? Video games? Sleep? Attitudes? Career? Without God all things are meaningless. Make a choice today. A choice to remain. A choice to dwell. And a choice to pay the price and walk with Jesus in your everyday life.
