Reboot

If you have known me for any amount of time you know that I am a comic nerd. Not as nerdy as some, but still I have great nerdiness when it comes to comics and comic book movies. Batman is handsdown my favorite single character and I love the stories and background of this anti-hero. For the movies it all started with the Tim Burton – Michael Keaton movies (which were great!), than rapidly decayed with Val Kilmer and George Clooney taking their turns under the cowl.

We were all saved by the reboot. Christopher Nolan came along, made Christian Bale into the Dark Knight and restored the awesomeness to Batman.

A reboot wipes the page clean. It doesn’t erase the old movie, but it gives us a fresh start and a new look. Much in the same way that Jesus gives us a fresh start, a new look.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

This is an awesome promise, with God all things are new! Your life, your attitude, and your behavior, it can all be rebooted!

So don’t just change your look this year when you head back to school, change your life.
